This year, the laboratory of signal and image processing, once again became one of the winner of the OpenCV AI Competition 2021, first phase, sponsored by the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and chip manufacturer Intel Corporation. This time, the laboratory received 4 pieces of innovated 3D cameras, access to Intel DevCloud, and 100 hours of processing time on MS Azure. It is a special device combining a 3D camera and a camera that can use image processing using neural networks directly on the chip without the need for transmission to a computer. The laboratory's project is again focused on an automated sampling system, enabling continuous monitoring of fish living conditions and growth in high-intensity culture systems such as RAS in real time.
