and

one other seminar:

Dipl.-Ing. Lukáš Valihrach, Ph.D. – z IBT AS CR v.v.i. - Single-Cell Gene Expression Analysis

The reverse transcription real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) has become the method of choice for the quantification of mRNA. Traditionally, when studying expression, a large number of cells in one sample is analyzed. Such approach quantifies just average response of cells. However, biological tissues are heterogeneous, being composed of different cell types. Therefore, a new technique for single cell expression profiling was developed. During the seminar, the workflow for single cell RT-qPCR analysis will be presented and discussed.

You are cordially invited.
