Students of both full-time and combined (distant) form of study at the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters of USB may spend up to 12 months abroad under the terms of Erasmus+ program. They can choose either a research fellowship at one of the partner universities or an study internship.
The Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters of USB offers a scholarship of ca. 400 EUR per month (a research fellowship for at least 3 months, ideally 5-10 months, meaning 1-2 semesters) and ca. 500 EUR per month for an internship (required length 2 months minimum), that serves for partial cover of travel and accommodation costs.
The Foreign Relations Office of FFPW USB announces each January or February a selection procedure for research fellowships and internships for the following academic year. In the process of the selection procedure, the following criteria are taken into consideration: study average, acquired language competence enclosed with a language certificate and a letter of motivation.
Information about the selection procedure for research fellowships and internships are available on the website, at the section International relations FFPW USB/updates, and these are also sent students on their school e-mail addresses.
Students who want to apply for an internship are obliged to find a company abroad that offers internships under the terms of Erasmus+ program. Then they are to contact the referent in charge, Lucie Kačerová (lkacerova@frov.jcu.cz, phone number +420 387 774 736).
