After running two experiments on pikeperch larvae from March to June, samples for enzyme analysis were collected and stored at -80C.

The experiments focused on the effects of probiotics on the pike perch larval digestive enzymes development during the first 21 days. A second experiment looked at the effect of Taurine diet supplementation over the larval digestive enzymes activity.

In order to analyze all the samples, a collaboration with the Zoology Department at the La Universidad de la Laguna in Spain was established. In July, all samples were transported to La Universidad de la Laguna, Tenerife and were analyzed following enzyme extraction and analysis protocols.
