From 4th June to 11th June 2021, I performed an internship at OASIS multitrophic farm in Ireland. The main objective was to learn techniques and design for experiments related to multitrophic aquaculture in future research. More specifically, it was focused on the use of different duckweed species for aquaculture wastewater remediation. Those training should lead to future studies on multiple uses of nutrients applied to aquaculture systems as a promising strategy for the sustainable development of the aquaculture sector. Main activities during short term training included analysing data obtained at multitrophic farm Oasis during last year, establishing of new experiment with duckweed strains, and measurements of water flow in the existing multitrophic farm using an ultrasound flow meter.
