The conditions for granting and paying scholarships are based on Act No. 111/1998 Colll, about universities as amended, as well as on the Scholarship regulations of the University of  South Bohemia in accordance with Dean’s decisions.

Type of Scholarships Who is eligible? For detailed information, please refer to...    How to apply?
Accommodation Scholarship The student is entitled to the accommodation scholarship for the relevant scholarship period if he/she concurrently meets all the following conditions during this period:
- He/she is a full-time student of the Bachelor’s,  Master’s or doctoral degree programme accredited at the USB and his study has not been suspended,
- He/she has not yet obtained a university diploma in the degree programme in question (Bachelor’s, Master’s or doctoral),
- he/she has not exceeded the standard length of study, not even in any concurrently enrolled study programmes,
- He/she is not the student of a degree programme effected in a foreign language, who funds his/her study costs fully from own resources
- His/her domicile is not in the same district as the place of his/her study is (i.e. České Budějovice or Vodňany district)

Need-based (Social) Scholarship The student is entitled to the need-based scholarship if he/she meets all the following conditions:
- He/she has not exceeded the standard length of study, not even in any concurrently enrolled study programmes,
- He/she supports his/her entitlement to the scholarship with a written certificate issued upon his/her request by the State Social Support Body that  granted the benefits confirming that the family income ascertained for the purpose of child benefits for a calendar year indicated in the certificate did not exceed the product of subsistence of the family and the coefficient of 1.5

Merit-based scholarship Only the full-time students of the Bachelor’s or  Master’s degree programme accredited at the USB who met the course requirements in a total of at least 60 credits in the previous academic year and accomplished the weighted average of no more than 1.60 can be awarded this scholarship.

This scholarship is granted upon full-filling the requirements without any need of application. 
Premium scholarship a)       Bachelor’s and Master’s students for outstanding study results in the last year of study (in the year of termination of their study)
b)       Bachelor’s and Master’s students for thesis with outstanding research, development, innovation or other creative results contributing to the deepening of knowledge and will therefore be assessed by the state committee as excellent.
c)       All the students of full-time form of study for results eligible in RIV for purposes of evaluation of research and development.
d)       Bachelor’s and Master’s students for outstanding results during the whole study – dean’s award and rector’s award.
e)       Students of full-time form of study dealing with a project of Grant Agency USB (GA USB).
f)       Students of full-time form of study participating at research, development and innovation activities

This scholarship is usually granted upon full-filling the requirements without any need of application. 
Extraordinary scholarship The potential allocation of extraordinary scholarships and rules for its award are usually adjusted by another Dean’s decisions or FFPW USB rules.
The students of all levels can ask the dean for the special scholarship in case of unexpected difficult social situations or for reasons worthy of consideration, other serious reasons during the study and in cases that are not specified in other rules.

Extraordinary scholarship for Talented Students Only the full-time students of the Bachelor’s or  Master’s degree programme that have not exceeded the standard length of study, not even in any concurrently enrolled study programmes, and meet all the following conditions:
· He/she meets the course requirements in a total of at least 60 credits in the previous academic year and accomplished the weighted average of no more than 1.50
·       he/she meet at least two of the following activities:
 - extraordinary activity in the laboratory relating to his/her bachelor/master thesis
 - frequent participation in faculty exhibitions and promotional events
 -  assistance to teachers/faculty with tuition
 - significant sports or other success under the auspices of the USB or FFPW USB.

Extraordinary scholarship for athletes All students that have not exceeded the standard length of study, not even in any concurrently enrolled study programmes, for
a)       excellent placement in national, international or university competitions (championships). It is conditioned by publishing the information about the sport achievement on the website of the FFPW USB in the News section
b)       facilitating the participation in major sport events, support of training or sports performance.
Dean’s decision No. 11/2021 The scholarship for outstanding sport achievements is granted on the basis of the initiative of board members of the faculty and/or university without any need of application.

Doctoral scholarship, basic Students of full-time doctoral study programme, usually within the standard length of study.

Scholarship is assigned automatically.
 Compensatory scholarship  Only the full-time students of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programme that has not exceeded the standard length of study, not even in any concurrently enrolled study programmes, for the compensation of the necessary costs involved in mandatory internship or another tuition performed out of FFPW USB  parts.  

Students participating in projects of GA USB, and in accordance with the rules of GA USB.
